http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?191+sum+HB2457

Provides that the Board of Medicine may issue an inactive license to any doctor of medicine, osteopathy, podiatry, or chiropractic who holds a valid license to practice in the Commonwealth upon receipt of a request made upon application for renewal of such license and submission of the required fee. The bill provides that a person to whom an inactive license has been issues shall not be required to meet continuing competency requirements and shall not engage in the practice of medicine, except that such person may provide charity care or in-home health care to patients for whom travel is a barrier to receiving health care
